Both items use the same inventory icon, which leads many players to fail the craft repeatedly without understanding why. If the Improvise unlock is making no progress, swap the third ingredient to confirm. Any cauldron in the world accepts the four ingredients through the Improvise menu, and three to four successful Improvise crafts fill the knowledge bar and teach the recipe permanently. The Cauldron Locations article lists every known cauldron; the one inside Hernand town is the easiest starter because it is reachable from every early chapter of the campaign.5454After the recipe is learned, it appears under the Special Items tab of the cauldron menu and can be bulk-crafted without going through Improvise again.
