Studio Wildcard is the developer of ARK 2 and of its predecessor ARK: Survival Evolved. They also handle the Legacy of Santiago expansion and the ARK: Survival Ascended re-release.

Track Record

Studio Wildcard's long tenure on the ARK franchise is both what qualifies them to deliver ARK 2 and the source of most of the controversy around the project. Co-founder Jeremy Stieglitz has been the public face of the sequel's repeated delays, most recently announcing the current 2028 target at publisher Snail Games' investor day.
