11The Warrior is the first playable class revealed for ArcheAge Chronicles. The developers introduced it in July 2026 under the motto "Hold the Line. Break the Enemy," describing a class built on raw power backed by solid defense. In the game's lore, the Warrior inherits the shadow of Kyrios, the God of Destruction, remembered as a peerless soldier who mastered every weapon he ever wielded.223+34Class Philosophy4556Rather than locking a Warrior into a single role, the class asks the player how they want to fight. The developers frame the choice as a spectrum: hold the line, break the enemy, or settle somewhere in between. That decision is expressed through weapon choice and a set of playstyle paths, not a fixed subclass picked once at creation.6778Weapons and Paths89910The Warrior can equip a longsword or a greatsword, and each weapon opens a different way to play.10111112WeaponPathFocusLongswordPrecision and ControlTiming, defense, and parrying incoming strikes to keep pressure on the enemyLongswordPath of BloodConverting personal health into heavy damage, then absorbing enemy health to recover itGreatswordFront-Line AssaultAdvancing through enemies, absorbing hits, and building Resolve to unleash devastating attacks1213Longsword13141415The longsword supports two contrasting paths. The precision and control path rewards reading an enemy and answering with well-timed defense and parries, using skills such as Closing Slash and Bladeburst to pressure a target. The path of blood trades survivability for output: the Warrior turns portions of their own health into damage, then claws that health back by absorbing an enemy's, creating a high-risk, high-reward rhythm.15161617Greatsword17181819The greatsword is the front-line option. It favors pushing into enemies, withstanding punishment, and building a resource called Resolve. Once Resolve is stocked, the Warrior spends it on heavy swings through skills like Final Cleave, Rampage, and Warrior's Cry.19202021Longsword Skills21222223The longsword carries the sub-title "Mark. Counter. Dominate." Its five published skills cover both of its paths, with Crimson Surge being the one that defines the path of blood.23242425SkillEffectParryBlocks with the blade at the exact moment of impact to deflect an enemy strike, opening an immediate counterattack.Closing SlashDrives the blade into a foe, then twists to pull them close and flow into the next attack.Whirlwind SlashSpins to sweep every surrounding enemy in a single pass.BladeburstSends a razor-sharp wave of energy through the air on the swing, reaching distant foes.Crimson SurgeSpends the Warrior's own blood to strengthen consecutive slashes, draining and absorbing health with each blow.2526Greatsword Skills26272728The greatsword carries the sub-title "Endure. Advance. Destroy." Its loop is to soak damage with Brace, build Resolve, then release it. Once enough Resolve is stored, Unbridled Might triggers on its own.28292930SkillEffectLeaping StrikeLowers the stance and launches forward with explosive force, driving deep into the enemy line.Unbridled MightDetonates accumulated power in an instant so the next attack lands for massive damage.Final CleaveBrandishes the greatsword on high, then slams it down with a fierce crash.RampageCasts reason aside and unleashes two devastating attacks in succession.Warrior's CryA roar that builds Resolve and overwhelms nearby enemies.3031Legacy of Kyrios31323233Every Warrior is said to inherit the shadow of Kyrios, the God of Destruction. Before his ascension he was Jin Evernight, described in the class introduction as a legendary Shadowhawk Twin Sword who fought alongside Tahyang. As the Righthand Sword of Shadowhawk he was an unmatched bladesman who wielded any weapon he picked up, and he was never beaten in battle. He returned from the Garden of the Gods no longer a warrior but a god, and the class is framed as inheriting his will and his pursuit of destruction. Walking the Warrior's path is presented as accepting that inheritance.33343435Role in Chronicles35363637The Warrior fits the game's action combat, which runs on real-time inputs, dodging, blocking, and weapon-specific combos rather than tab-target rotations. See Combat System for the shared mechanics every class uses. As the first class detailed publicly, the Warrior reveal is also the clearest look yet at how Character Creation class identity works in Chronicles: a class comes with selectable paths that shape its feel, so two Warriors can play very differently.37383839What Is Not Yet Confirmed39404041The full class roster is still unpublished. Four classes were playable in the June 2026 focus group test, listed on the Character Classes page, but the studio has not said whether that is the launch line-up or how many classes will ship. Weapon options beyond the longsword and greatsword for the Warrior, exact skill costs and cooldowns, how much Resolve each skill generates or spends, and how paths unlock across a character's progression all remain undetailed. No schedule for the next class introduction has been announced.
