A Held Item Contract adds a species-specific effect to a Held Item. It enhances the corresponding Aniimo's signature skill when that species equips the item.

Held Item Contracts unlock at Wayfarer II. Raise a gold-quality Held Item to level 15 to unlock its second advanced effect and Pact function. Equip it to the intended Aniimo, choose Form Contract, and review the required materials.

The contract belongs to the species rather than only the individual used to create it. Another individual of that species can benefit from the effect; a different species cannot activate it.

Choose the species carefully and read the contract preview before confirming. The ordinary item stats and the contract effect are separate parts of the equipment.
