Initial version (2026-06-13)
This page covers the development of Xenoblade Genesis and the people reported to be working on it. The studio and publisher are confirmed; the individual staff credits below come from coverage of the reveal and the trailer's credits rather than from Nintendo's storefront page, so they are reported rather than officially confirmed and should be read with that caution.
Xenoblade Genesis is developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo. Monolith Soft is the long-standing developer behind the series. The game was announced at the Nintendo Direct on June 9, 2026.
The following credits were reported in coverage of the reveal. They are listed here for reference and may be refined once Nintendo publishes official details.
Role | Reported name |
|---|---|
Director | Tetsuya Takahashi |
Music (lead) | Yasunori Mitsuda |
Music | Mariam Abounnasr |
Music | Minami Kiyota |
Character design | Mai Yoneyama |

A note on spelling: coverage of the third composer's given name is not consistent. One source renders it as Minami Kiyota while another renders it as Manami Kiyota. The spelling should be confirmed against official credits when they are published.
Nintendo has not released full development details, so the following remain unconfirmed:
The complete development team and additional credited roles.
The engine and tools used.
The length of development or when work began.
Any behind-the-scenes or interview material about the game's goals.
