1-This page covers the development of Xenoblade Genesis and the people credited on it. The studio and publisher are confirmed. The individual staff credits below come from reporting on the reveal and the trailer's credits rather than from Nintendo's storefront pages, so they are reported rather than officially confirmed, and are read here against the Japanese-language credits where the two differ.1+This page covers the development of Xenoblade Genesis and the people credited on it. The studio and publisher are confirmed. The individual staff credits below do not appear on Nintendo's storefront pages. They were posted on the day of the reveal by an official account for the series and relayed from there by Japanese and English outlets, and are read here against the Japanese-language wording wherever reports differ.2233Studio and Publisher4455Xenoblade Genesis is developed by Monolith Soft and published by Nintendo. Monolith Soft is the long-standing developer behind the series. The game was announced at the Nintendo Direct on June 9, 2026. Every one of Nintendo's regional product pages for the game carries the copyright line naming both companies, so the studio credit is a first-party statement rather than something taken from reporting, unlike the individual credits below.6677Reported Staff8899The following credits were reported in coverage of the reveal. The third composer's given name is rendered inconsistently in English reporting, which has produced both "Minami" and "Aimi" for the same person. The Japanese credit is unambiguous and gives the reading Manami Kiyota, which is what this page uses. One English report also names a different lead composer than the Japanese credits do; that claim is not reflected here, because the Japanese-language credits and the majority of reporting agree on Yasunori Mitsuda. The lead credit is listed in Japanese as general director rather than director, and the two character designers are credited jointly rather than splitting the work.13131414What Is Not Yet Known15151616Nintendo has not released full development details, so the following remain unconfirmed:17171818The complete development team and additional credited roles. The engine and tools used. The length of development or when work began.Any behind-the-scenes or interview material about the game's goals. The voice cast in any language. One Japanese report named a narrator for the trailer, but no second source and no published credits confirm it, so it is not recorded here.19192020For how this title relates to earlier entries in the series, see Series Context: How Genesis Differs From Xenoblade Chronicles.
