In Warhammer Survivors, death is not the end. Every run feeds a longer progression: you survive as long as you can, collect gold, and use it to grow stronger for future runs. A growing roster of unlockable characters, weapons, abilities and rare relics improves your odds over time.
Gold is collected on the battlefield during a run and kept afterwards. The tips in the first Demo warned that the first run will probably end quickly and told players to spend what they gained in the Power Up menu to level up before trying again.
The same demo tips pointed players to an Unlocks menu that lists items still to be unlocked. The tips also suggested trying different champions, since each starts with a unique weapon.
Warhammer paint pots can be found on the battlefield. They unlock new character forms and secrets. The store page also promises esoteric secrets to uncover and collectables to collect, and every stage has secrets of its own.
Each universe has its own progression tree as well as its own roster, weapons, enemies and stages. After the first demo, Auroch singled out feedback on meta-progression between universes as particularly useful. In July 2026 Auroch Digital listed cross-universe progression, sharing earned currency between the universes, among the changes it was working on for the full game, while noting that the list was subject to change. As of October 15, 2026, the developer had not published a final description of how currency is shared at launch.
The first demo included characters to unlock and secrets to find. Neither demo carries progress into the full game, and progress from the first demo did not carry into the second.
