Revision 1

Warhammer Survivors has more than 40 playable champions split between the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes. Each one starts with a unique weapon and unique starting stats, so no two play the same. Champions are unlocked over time, and Warhammer paint pots found in runs unlock new character forms (see Progression and Unlocks).

As of October 15, 2026, Auroch Digital has named 11 champions in text. A May 2026 reveal image showed more than a dozen further champion sprites without names; those are not listed here until they are officially identified.

Confirmed Champions

Warhammer 40,000 Champions

Malum Caedo

Malum Caedo is the Sternguard Veteran from Auroch's earlier game Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, and the store page features him by name. In Warhammer Survivors he sets his Boltgun aside and starts with a Chainsword that makes horizontal serrated attacks, good for hitting several enemies at once. He was one of the two champions in the first demo, defending an Imperial Bastion from Tyranids.

Trooper Kozlowski

Kozlowski is a Cadian Shock Trooper of the Astra Militarum. His starting Lasgun fires at the nearest enemy, and as it levels up, squadmates join him and add their own small-arms fire.

Brother Luca

Brother Luca is a Space Marine Intercessor of the Ultramarines and an entirely new character made for this game; the developer hinted that his name may nod to the game's roots. He starts with a Boltgun, which evolves into the Heavy Bolter for a stream of continuous fire.

Marneus Calgar

Marneus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, was revealed in April 2026. He also appears when another champion evolves the Power Fists into the Gauntlets of Ultramar, joining the fight and firing bolter rounds with every attack. That summon does not happen when you are playing as Calgar himself.

Knight-Commander Pask

Pask was revealed alongside Calgar and commands his Leman Russ tank. Auroch's lead concept artist singled him out as one of the less expected picks in the roster.

Legend of Catachan

The Legend of Catachan was first teased in April 2026 and became playable in the second demo on October 6, 2026. The Legend of Catachan's base weapon is the Frag Grenade, hurled freely around the battlefield.

Commissar Sebastian Yarrick

Yarrick was teased in April 2026 and is named in the store description, which calls him the legendary Commissar. His starting weapon has not been detailed as of October 2026.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar Champions

Neave Blacktalon

Neave Blacktalon is a Stormcast Eternal and a living weapon of Sigmar. She starts every run with the Whirlwind Axes, which evolve into whirling blades of arcing lightning. She was the Age of Sigmar champion in the first demo, fighting Skaven across The Great Parch.

Sharynn Azurwrath

Sharynn Azurwrath is a Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher. She starts with a Grandblade that, once levelled, unleashes a huge circular swing. The announcement post spelled her surname Azurwath, while her dedicated profile spells it Azurwrath, the spelling used here.

Gotrek Gurnisson

Gotrek, the Realmslayer, wields the legendary axe Zangrom-Thaz. Other champions can also bring him into a run: evolving the Fyrestorm Greataxe into Zangrom-Thaz calls Gotrek to your side. If you are already playing as Gotrek, no second Gotrek appears.

Other Champions

Lyssa Ravenya was revealed as one of two new champions in the second demo on October 6, 2026. As of October 15, 2026, her universe and starting weapon have not been described in official text.

Demetrian Titus makes a brief appearance on the Hobby Table stage in the May 2026 trailer. As of October 15, 2026, the developer has not said whether he is playable.

Roster Rules

• Champions only fight in their own universe; there is no crossover between the two rosters.

• Every champion has a unique starting weapon and starting stats.

• Some weapon evolutions summon a named champion as an ally, such as Marneus Calgar or Gotrek Gurnisson.

• Paint pots unlock new character forms.
