The campaign of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is carried by a cast of named characters drawn from across its Factions. The Space Marines field heroes from two Chapters, the Blood Ravens and the Dark Angels; the Orks are led by their own warlords; and the Adeptus Mechanicus make their series debut with their own named figures. Many of these characters serve as battlefield leaders, so see Commanders for how playable leaders work in combat. The Necrons have now revealed a named figure of their own as well.
A Primarch Enters the Game
The most notable figure is Lion El'Jonson, the Dark Angels Primarch, who becomes playable at the climax of the Space Marines campaign. He is billed as the very first playable Warhammer 40,000 Primarch to appear in any video game, making his inclusion a headline moment for the campaign.

Who Writes Them
The campaign story is written by John French, an author for Games Workshop's in-house fiction imprint. KING Art confirmed his involvement when the cast was announced, alongside the reminder that the 70 or more Campaign missions can be played solo or with a friend.
