Overview
The Witcher IV features a cast of characters set in the northern kingdom of Kovir. While only a handful of characters have been officially confirmed, the game is expected to include a large ensemble given its open-world RPG structure.

Protagonist
Ciri is the protagonist and sole playable character confirmed so far. She is a princess of Cintra by birth, trained as a witcher at Kaer Morhen, schooled in magic by Yennefer of Vengerberg, and carries the Elder Blood gene. She has undergone the Trial of the Grasses and wears the medallion of the School of the Lynx.
Returning Characters
Geralt of Rivia is confirmed to appear. Voice actor Doug Cockle stated: "I can confirm that Geralt will appear in The Witcher 4. I just can't say exactly in what way or how much." Geralt's voice is heard briefly at the end of the cinematic trailer.
Yennefer of Vengerberg, Triss Merigold, and Dandelion have not been confirmed. Given their significance in the Witcher franchise, fan speculation about their involvement is widespread, but CDPR has not announced their inclusion.
New Characters
Mioni is a young woman from Stromford who was being prepared as a ritual sacrifice to the Bauk in the cinematic trailer. Her story demonstrates the game's themes of human cruelty and moral complexity.
Branko is a northerner voiced by Jake Lampert. His role in the story has not been revealed.
