The Kunoichi is one of the six playable Seekers in TARAE: The Unbound, and one of the three that were not playable in the hands-on demo at gamescom 2026. It is the roster's assassin, described as disrupting opponents through mobility and precision, and its discipline is given as the arts of concealment.
The designation is a transliteration of a Japanese word for a female ninja, and unlike the other two classes without an official name it reads the same in both languages: Korean and English coverage of the studio presentation both use Kunoichi unchanged. That is not the same thing as an official English class name. As of 12 September 2026 the game's own material names only the Samurai, the Tiger Hunter and the Geomancer.

The Arts of Concealment
When the studio ran through the roster it gave each class a single discipline, and the Kunoichi's was 인술, transliterated insul, the arts of concealment. That is a category rather than a named system. Nothing has been published about how it works: no skill has been named, no weapon has been confirmed, and no resource has been described. The only behaviour attached to the class is the one-line role, an assassin who disrupts through mobility and precision.
The six classes are reinterpretations of real historical roles from East Asia, drawn from Korea, China, Japan and Mongolia across a period the studio places roughly between the fifteenth and seventeenth centuries. The Kunoichi and the Samurai are the two that draw on Japanese roles.
Systems the Kunoichi Shares
Like every Seeker it fights with its own combat resource and its own skill system, neither of which has been named, and it has one signature skill customisable through masteries plus utility skills that augment or modify it. The shared layer, stamina spent on sprinting and dodging and the refund a well timed dodge returns, is covered in Combat. The systems built on top of a class are in Builds and Progression. Progression is not shared between classes, so raising a Kunoichi is a separate effort from raising a Tiger Hunter or a Geomancer.
The five Seekers a player does not choose join the campaign as companions, so the Kunoichi appears in the story of every playthrough whether or not it is the class being controlled. See Story and Setting.
