Updated Sentry Bots with v0.3.4862 craftability info (Ammo Maker) alongside original purchase method
11Overview2233Sentry Bots are automated combat companions in Starsand Island that fight alongside you in the Moonlit Forest. Once deployed, they independently target and shoot at nearby enemies, dealing passive damage without requiring any player input. Sentry Bots are one of the most effective tools for tackling difficult encounters, especially boss fights where sustained damage output matters.4455How to Get Sentry Bots667-Sentry Bots are purchased from the Exploration Club shop terminal. They are available as a daily-rotation item, meaning there is a limited quantity in stock each day. The stock resets every in-game day, so you can buy more the following day.7+There are two ways to obtain Sentry Bots:889-DetailInformationSold ByExploration Club terminalAvailabilityDaily stock (limited quantity, resets each day)RequirementActive Explorer professionCostCoins (varies based on quantity purchased)10-Plan ahead for boss fights. If you know you are going to attempt a difficult boss the next day, buy Sentry Bots in advance and stockpile them. The daily purchase limit means last-minute bulk buying is not possible.9+Purchase: Sentry Bots are sold at the Exploration Club shop terminal as a daily-rotation item with limited stock that resets each in-game day.Crafting: Since the v0.3.4862 patch (March 20, 2026), Sentry Bots can be crafted at the Ammo Maker. This gives players a reliable way to produce them without waiting for shop restocks.111012-How to Deploy11+Details131214-Sentry Bots are used from your inventory like any other consumable item. Bring extras for tough encounters in the deeper zones of the Moonlit Forest.Since v0.3.4862, crafting Sentry Bots at the Ammo Maker is the most cost-effective way to stock up compared to buying them daily.171718-Once deployed, the Sentry Bot is stationary. It stays in the spot where you activated it and shoots at any enemy that enters its range. You can deploy multiple Sentry Bots at different positions to create overlapping fields of fire.19-20-Combat Behavior21-22-Deployed Sentry Bots behave as follows:23-24-ItemDescriptionAutomatic targetingSentry Bots lock onto the nearest hostile creature and fire at it without any player direction.Passive damageThe damage is consistent and reliable. While individual shots do less damage than a player's Bow or Crossbow, the continuous fire rate adds up significantly over time.No ammo costOnce deployed, Sentry Bots fire indefinitely until the encounter ends or they are destroyed. You do not need to supply them with arrows or pellets.Multiple bots stackEach additional Sentry Bot adds its own damage stream. Deploying 2 or 3 bots at once roughly doubles or triples the passive DPS.25-Using Sentry Bots in Boss Fights26-27-Sentry Bots are most valuable during boss encounters. Boss fights in the Moonlit Forest are extended engagements where sustained damage matters, and Sentry Bots excel at providing that consistent supplemental firepower.28-29-BossRecommended Sentry BotsStrategyCrystalith1 to 2Deploy bots near the arena edge. The Crystalith's attacks are focused on the player, so bots placed to the side take no aggro. Let them chip away while you dodge and shoot.Glintortle2 to 3Place bots spread around the arena. The Glintortle moves slowly, so bots can maintain fire for long periods. Combined with Bomb Arrows from the player, this is a safe kill.Ruin Guard3 (maximum)Deploy all available bots before engaging. The Ruin Guard is the toughest boss and every source of damage counts. Stack bots with 5x Battle Spirit food and Bomb Arrows from a Crossbow for the fastest kill.30-The Ruin Guard fight in particular benefits enormously from Sentry Bots. Without them, the fight is long and punishing. With a full complement of Sentry Bots plus player Crossbow fire and Battle Spirit food buffs, the Ruin Guard becomes manageable.31-32-Tips33-34-Buy Sentry Bots from the Exploration Club every day, even if you do not plan to use them immediately. Stockpiling them ensures you are always prepared for a boss attempt.Deploy bots before triggering boss encounters. Walk into the boss arena, place your bots at the edges, then move toward the boss to start the fight. This gives the bots maximum uptime.Position bots away from direct boss attack paths. Most bosses target the player, not the bots, so placing them to the side keeps them firing safely.Combine Sentry Bots with combat food buffs for maximum effectiveness. The bot damage stacks with your own boosted damage from Battle Spirit food.Use Sentry Bots for regular enemy areas too, not just bosses. Difficult sections of the Moonlit Forest with dense enemy spawns become much easier with a bot or two providing covering fire.Keep at least 3 Sentry Bots in reserve at all times for unexpected boss encounters or difficult sections.Sentry Bots are single-use per deployment. Once the encounter or area is cleared, you need a fresh bot for the next fight.Check the Exploration Club stock first thing each in-game day. The daily rotation means Sentry Bots may not always be available in the same quantity.35-3618Related Articles371938-Combat GuideExploration ClubBossesMoonlit ForestCrystalithGlintortleRuin GuardExplorer20+Combat GuideMoonlit ForestAmmo MakerExploration ClubWeapons and AmmoUpdate History
