Orchids come in three base colors (Red, Yellow, and Blue) that can be purchased directly from the Happiness Seed Shop, and six additional hybrid colors (Pink, Orange, Green, Purple, Brown, and Black) that must be produced through flower cross-breeding. That brings the total to nine distinct Orchid colors.

2121 Cross-breeding is the only way to obtain the six hybrid Orchid colors. The basic mechanic works as follows: plant two Orchids of the same flower type but different colors on tilled farmland, leaving one empty tilled plot between them. Water all three tiles daily. Once both parent flowers mature, there is a chance that a new hybrid-colored Orchid will sprout in the empty middle plot. Everlasting crops also ignore season restrictions, meaning an Everlasting Orchid will grow year-round, including during Summer, Autumn, and Winter when normal Orchids cannot be planted.
