The in-game calendar runs on a 28-day season cycle with four seasons (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter), making the full year 112 days long. Knowing when each character's birthday falls gives you an opportunity to strengthen your relationship with them through thoughtful gift-giving. Birthdays are one of the key social mechanics tied to the Friendship and Gifting system.

As the game continues through Early Access, these characters may receive birthday assignments in future updates.

You purchase them from a vendor, and the painting must include the recipient's name. If a Sugar Painting is available on an NPC's birthday, it is the single best gift you can give.Universal safe gifts: Pasture Grass and Celeste Berries are liked by all characters, making them reliable fallback options if you do not have a specific Loved item on hand.Prepare in advance. Check the calendar a few days before an upcoming birthday and gather or craft the NPC's Loved gift ahead of time. This is especially important for Summer 13 when three characters celebrate.Daily chat still counts. Talking to an NPC each day grants +5 AP regardless of gifting. On birthdays, do not skip the conversation even after giving a gift.
