31 Glass Pane is a heavily-used construction material in Starsand Island. It is produced through a two-step pipeline: smelt Quartz Ore into Glass Brick at Furnace I, then refine Glass Brick into Glass Pane at Cutter I. Glass Pane is the largest single material demand of the bus stop reconstruction questline and feeds many Building Materials recipes.

Furnace I and Cutter I are part of the free Equipment Blueprint Pack from Zerine's General Store, and Glass Pane production is available as soon as you have the Impulse Pickaxe (Junior Crafter) needed to mine Quartz Ore in the Gate of Life zone of the Moonlit Forest.

The starter Stone Pickaxe is too weak; the Impulse Pickaxe (Junior Crafter) is the minimum tool.Surface deposits. Some Quartz nodes appear in rocky outcrops on the island surface, though these are less common than forest veins.Tool tier. Quartz unlocks at the same tier as Iron and Gold. Plan a Junior-tier mining run that hits all three.

Each completed bus stop consumes 5 Glass Pane, and there are 10 bus stops in total. That equals at least 50 Glass Pane (and therefore 50 Quartz Ore plus 50 Charcoal) just for the bus stop network.

2422 Stockpile 50 to 60 Quartz before starting bus stops. Quartz is less abundant than Copper or Iron, so dedicated farming runs are often needed.Process Glass in batches. Run Furnace I and Cutter I in parallel. Both are passive stations.Reserve extra Quartz for Glass Brick. Glass Brick is also used directly for the Prism component at the Gear Smith (2 Prisms feed the Energy Converter), so reserve a few Quartz beyond the Glass Pane needs.Mine Quartz on every Junior-tier forest run. Take every Quartz node you see, even if you do not need it immediately. Demand persists into Senior-tier crafting.
