Once you reach Apprentice Crafter and build the Charcoal Kiln, both Charcoal (for smelting) and Fine Salt (for cooking) come online together. Plan a Salt Brick mining run alongside your usual Softwood and Fiber gathering so the Kiln can run double duty.

Carry a Pickaxe whenever you enter the Moonlit Forest so a salt vein is never wasted.Run two Charcoal Kilns. The Fiber half of the recipe is trivial; the bottleneck is always Salt Brick.Plan around recipe demand. Bulletin Board orders for cooked dishes often need Fine Salt.
