11Overview2233The Broom is a special tool discovered during exploration of the Moonlit Forest. It cannot be crafted at any Worktable or purchased from a shop. Instead, the Broom is found in the field, hidden along one of the forest's branching paths. Its primary function is sweeping away debris, dust, and leaf cover from surfaces that conceal puzzle elements, hidden items, and secret pathways.4455While the Broom might seem like a simple household item, its role in the Moonlit Forest is tied directly to the area's environmental puzzle system. Many surfaces in the forest are covered with layers of fallen leaves, moss, or fine dust that hide important glyphs, switches, and collectibles underneath. The Broom is the only tool capable of clearing these surfaces.6677How to Find8899The Broom is located in a secluded section of the Moonlit Forest, placed inside a hollow tree stump along one of the secondary exploration paths. The stump is partially concealed by surrounding vegetation and does not glow or sparkle in any way that would draw attention. Players need to approach and interact with the stump directly to discover the Broom inside.10101111The location is accessible relatively early in the Moonlit Forest exploration sequence. Players who explore side paths and check unusual environmental objects (hollow stumps, unusual rock formations, mossy alcoves) will find the Broom within their first or second visit to the forest.12121313No quest, profession level, or prerequisite item is required to pick up the Broom. Interact with the hollow stump and it is added to your tool inventory immediately.14141515How It Works16161717Equip the Broom from your tool inventory, then approach a debris-covered surface. Interacting with the surface while the Broom is equipped triggers a sweeping animation. The character sweeps the area in a few broad strokes, clearing away the covering material and revealing whatever was hidden underneath.18181919Sweepable surfaces are found throughout the Moonlit Forest. They are not always obvious at first glance, as they blend naturally into the forest floor and cave walls. Look for areas where the ground texture differs slightly from its surroundings, or where a thin layer of leaves seems deliberately piled over a flat surface.20202121The types of things hidden under sweepable debris include:22222323Glyph outlines that the Geocalligraphy Brush can activate (brush puzzles hidden beneath leaf cover).Small treasure caches containing coins, crafting materials, or decorative items.Pressure plates that trigger mechanisms when stepped on after being cleared.Map fragments that reveal hidden areas or points of interest on the forest map.Lore inscriptions carved into the stone floor, readable once uncovered.24242525Interaction With Other Found Tools26262727The Broom works in tandem with the other found tools in the Moonlit Forest. The three-tool exploration set creates a layered puzzle system where multiple tools are needed to fully explore an area.28282929StepToolAction1. A dark passage leads to a debris-covered floor, which hides a glyph that opens the next door. Players who collect all three tools early can progress through the forest's secrets efficiently without backtracking.31313232Sweepable Locations33333434Sweepable debris piles are distributed across the Moonlit Forest's various zones. It never breaks, wears out, or requires repairs. Once collected, it remains in your tool inventory permanently and can be used an unlimited number of times. There is no maintenance cost or upkeep associated with it.40404141This makes the Broom identical to the other Moonlit Forest found tools in terms of longevity. All three are permanent, zero-maintenance additions to the player's toolkit.42424343Tips44444545Collect the Broom as early as possible when exploring the Moonlit Forest. Many areas that appear to be dead ends are actually hiding sweepable surfaces with valuable items underneath.Use the Moonlight Glow Stick in dark areas before sweeping. Debris piles are much harder to spot in low-light conditions, and the Glow Stick makes them stand out clearly.Check every section of the forest floor that looks even slightly different from its surroundings. Debris piles are designed to blend in, but they have subtle visual differences (slightly raised surface, different leaf color, unnatural flatness) that give them away. After sweeping a surface, check whether it reveals a glyph. If it does, switch to the Geocalligraphy Brush immediately to activate it before moving on.Revisit areas you explored before finding the Broom. You likely walked over several hidden debris piles without realizing it on your first pass through the forest. The Broom has no use outside the Moonlit Forest. Do not waste inventory space searching for sweepable surfaces elsewhere on the island.46464747Related Articles48484949ToolsMoonlit ForestExploration
