How to expand your bag

You start with 50 bag slots. Between your tools, quest items, and daily haul, that fills up faster than you would think. The game lets you expand your bag eight times, adding five slots each time for a maximum of 90.

The first expansion usually happens during the early tutorial. If you missed it:

1. Open your bag.

2. Below your existing slots, find the box next to the word "Expand".

3. Click Expand.

4. A popup tells you what materials you need. If you have them, confirm.

Hover over any required material to see where to find or produce it.

One thing worth knowing: you can hand in items for Bulletin Board requests and quests directly from your storage. You do not need to carry those items with you. However, gifts for raising Affection with NPCs must be in your bag when you give them.

Expansion costs

• Expansion 1 (55 slots): 5x Softwood, 5x Stone, 5x Fiber.

• Expansion 2 (60 slots): 5x Carbon Line (Spinning Wheel), 5x Stone Brick (Furnace), 5x Softwood Plank (Cutter).

• Expansion 3 (65 slots): 5x Radiant Core (Furnace), 5x Copper Ingot (Furnace), 5x Glass Plane (Cutter).

• Expansion 4 (70 slots): 6x Bronze (Furnace), 16x Flour (Separator), 6x Flannel (Loom), 6x Carbon Line (Spinning Wheel).

• Expansion 5 (75 slots): 7x Hardwood Plank (Cutter), 7x Iron Sheet (Cutter), 10x Vegetable Juice (Separator), 5x Egg (Chickens or Ducks), 10x Protein Powder (Separator), 10x Fruit Pulp (Separator).

• Expansion 6 (80 slots): Not yet confirmed.

• Expansion 7 (85 slots): Not yet confirmed.

• Expansion 8 (90 slots): Not yet confirmed.

Softwood, Stone, and Fiber are gathered by hand or by chopping trees, breaking rocks, and cutting shrubs. Later expansions require processed materials from crafting stations like the Furnace, Spinning Wheel, Cutter, Separator, and Loom.
