Release Date and Platforms
October 14, 2026 at 12:32 AM
Initial version (2026-10-14)
Sagas of Lumin is scheduled for a full release on February 5, 2027 on Windows PC through Steam. The date was announced on July 28, 2026, when Elos Games & Arts dropped its long-running plan to launch in Early Access and moved to a direct 1.0 release. As of October 2026, no price, editions or console versions have been announced.
The developer's news post of July 28, 2026, the publisher's game page, the official release date trailer and the studio's channel description all give February 5, 2027. The release field on the Steam store page shows February 4, 2027 (checked October 14, 2026). Both the developer and the publisher use February 5.
The date is later than earlier targets. In March 2026 the game's release window was given as summer 2026 during an online games showcase. A player asked about the change on the Steam forums, and the CEO replied on October 1, 2026 that the studio had switched from its Early Access plan to a full release and had postponed the date for that reason.
For most of its development the game was meant to launch in Early Access. The plan moved several times before it was dropped.
Date | Statement | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
September 24, 2024 | A motion-capture video asked viewers to wishlist the game to stay updated on its Early Access launch. | Superseded |
June 12, 2025 | The developer told a player on the Steam forums that the game would enter Early Access in 2025. | Did not happen |
November 26, 2025 | The CEO wrote that the game was a short flight away from Early Access. | Did not happen |
February 13, 2026 | The roadmap post, which also announced the publishing deal, said the studio hoped to welcome players into Early Access "this summer". | Did not happen |
March 12, 2026 | A release window trailer shown during an online games showcase gave the window as summer 2026. | Superseded |
July 28, 2026 | The studio announced a full release on February 5, 2027 instead. | Current plan |
August 7, 2026 | The release date trailer's description stated: "We are skipping Early Access entirely". | Current plan |
In the July 2026 announcement the studio said it would use the extra time to refine the core gameplay loop, make level design feel coherent in both aerial and ground combat, and polish the details of playing as a dragon. The release date trailer's description adds that skipping Early Access lets the team focus on delivering a complete, polished game. In place of a traditional demo, the studio said it would get the game to players through closed and open beta groups; the first of these is the Closed Playtest.
Platform | Status (October 2026) |
|---|---|
Windows PC (Steam) | Confirmed. Windows 10 64-bit is the minimum OS. |
macOS | Not listed on the store page |
Linux and Steam Deck | Not announced. During the 2025 demo the developer said it supported only Windows. |
Consoles | The studio's channel description says console versions will arrive shortly after the PC launch. No console has been named and no date given. |
During the demo period a player reported getting the demo running on Linux through a community build of Proton, and the developer thanked them for the tip. That was a player workaround, not official support. Hardware details are on System Requirements.
As of October 14, 2026, the Steam listing shows no price and no purchase options, although it is not marked as free to play. No editions, pre-order offers or DLC have been announced. The only additional app linked to the store record is the playtest app, Sagas of Lumin Playtest.
