Added Crimson Dragon mechanics and combat guidance
The Crimson Dragon is the final story boss of 999 Nights, fought at Crimson Castle in the northwest of the Warren Continent. It is Level 45 on Story difficulty. Reaching the final chapter opens the encounter.
Watch the red cue and the dragon raising its head: either a head charge or fire breath can follow. Many of its attacks cannot be parried, so use dodges and Critical Ripostes to answer them. Avoid assuming every familiar attack animation gives a parry window.
At half health, the dragon becomes more aggressive and begins flying out of reach before slamming down. Wait for the landing cue, dodge the impact, then use the grounded recovery for damage. Iroi's healing helps the party recover when a landing catches someone.
When a large warning circle grows and rocks appear around the arena, move behind a boulder. It blocks the charged explosion, which can otherwise defeat the active character. Leave time to reach cover instead of extending your combo through the charge-up.
The dragon drops equipment, including unidentified pieces. Identify those at camp or through a Fluffy Appraiser before judging their stats. Completing the Story difficulty ends the story and unlocks Challenge difficulty; later difficulty clears continue the mode's progression.
