EXP is consumed in fixed amounts per item; feeding higher-tier guides into a character lets you skip several stages of fight-grinding the same domain on a low-investment unit. Most character EXP items are obtained from the Hunter Exchange, the Material Selection Box reward pool, daily Houdinii's Magic Stage runs, and as filler drops while exploring the open world.
