Loftia began development in 2022 and is developed and published by Qloud Games. Its early browser prototype evolved into a solarpunk online life simulation built with Unreal Engine 5.
Milestones
Period | Development milestone |

January 2023 | Flying-fish airborne wind turbine designs were shown as part of the sustainable-energy concept. |
July 2023 | Development material described the transition to Unreal Engine 5 and preparations for further testing. |
July 15, 2025 | The team outlined a conditional preservation proposal called Loftia Ark. |
April 2026 | Closed Beta introduced early systems across three districts. |
September 16, 2026 | Pre-registration opened. |
September 20, 2026 | The November 3 Early Access release date was announced. |
Changes during development
The early browser prototype used a different technical approach from the later Unreal Engine 5 game. Historical prototype systems and development targets do not establish the content of the current release plan.
By the 2026 beta, the featured districts were Loftia City, Hanging Gardens, and Gridfall. The current roadmap separates planned Early Access content from features intended for version 1.0 or later.
Preservation proposal
Loftia Ark is a contingency plan for a possible future closure of the studio and game service. The proposal would provide the game client, dedicated-server software, infrastructure scripts, an authentication method, and technical documentation so a community-hosted version could be rebuilt.
Ark is not an available offline mode or a currently released private-server package. Normal play requires an internet connection.
