Character customization in Loftia is not gender locked. Players do not select a fixed gender and can combine the available appearance options.

The April 2026 Closed Beta guide identified the following parts of the customization menu:

Hair
The menu had been reworked since the alpha. Further skin-condition options, assistive devices, hairstyles, outfits, accessories, and character-model refinements were planned after beta.
Clothing and self-expression
The game also includes collecting cosmetics and choosing clothing styles. Linda, a fashion specialist and thrift shop owner, is one of the residents associated with clothing. Optional cosmetic purchases are covered in Pricing and Monetization.
