Lore
Yang Jian is one of the most revered figures in the mythology of Primaera. Nuwa, the creator goddess, discovered a third eye hidden within his forehead and chose him as her successor to guard the boundary between the divine and mortal realms. Though the eye cannot be seen from the outside, the power it contains can always be felt. Yang Jian is accompanied by the Heaven Hound, a celestial beast that fights alongside him in battle.
Combat Style
Yang Jian is a front-line fighter who excels at diving into enemy groups, marking high-priority targets, and eliminating them with burst combos. His passive grants increasing resistance when surrounded by multiple enemies, making him more durable in chaotic fights. His Heaven Hound provides ranged engagement tools that let him initiate from a distance.
Abilities
Ability | Description |
|---|---|
Mind Games (Passive) | Yang Jian's resistance increases for each nearby enemy, making him harder to take down when outnumbered. This passive encourages aggressive play in group encounters. |
Heaven Hound | Yang Jian commands the Heaven Hound to dash in a target direction, marking and damaging the first enemy hit. Reactivating the skill causes Yang Jian to dash to the marked enemy and deal additional damage. This provides a reliable gap-closer. |
Frontal Stun | Yang Jian strikes enemies in front of him, dealing damage, stunning them, and reducing their movement speed. This is his primary crowd control tool. |
Sight of Origin (Ultimate) | Yang Jian opens his celestial third eye and unleashes beams of light in the target direction. The ability fires three sequential beams: the first two fire a single laser each, while the third fires three lasers simultaneously. The beams deal heavy damage and recover a portion of Yang Jian's health. |
Playstyle Tips
Use Heaven Hound to initiate from range, then follow up immediately with the stun to lock the target in place for your ultimate.
Sight of Origin is Yang Jian's highest-damage ability. Line it up when enemies are stunned or slowed by teammates for guaranteed hits.
The passive resistance bonus makes Yang Jian an excellent choice for clearing dense enemy camps in the open world, where he becomes harder to kill the more enemies surround him.
In co-op raids, pair Yang Jian with a support like Cai Wenji to sustain through prolonged boss fights while maintaining aggressive pressure.
