Overview
At Computex 2023, NVIDIA announced that Honor of Kings: World would support DLSS 3 and Ray Tracing at launch on PC. WCCFTech covered the announcement as part of their development history reporting.
DLSS 3
DLSS 3 (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is NVIDIA's frame generation technology for GeForce RTX 40-series GPUs. It uses AI to generate additional frames, boosting performance while maintaining visual quality. DLSS 3 support means the game can run at higher frame rates on compatible hardware without proportional GPU load increases.
Ray Tracing
Ray Tracing support enables realistic lighting effects including reflections, shadows, and global illumination computed by tracing the path of light through the scene. The game uses Unreal Engine 5's Lumen system for dynamic global illumination with indirect light sources, and Ray Tracing builds on top of that foundation for additional visual fidelity on supported hardware.
PC performance targets
Third-party sources report target frame rates of 60 FPS and 120 FPS modes, with resolution support up to 4K. Reported minimum PC requirements include an NVIDIA RTX 2060 or equivalent GPU with 5GB VRAM, an Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 CPU, 16GB RAM (32GB recommended), and an SSD with at least 50GB free space. These specs are from pre-release data and may change.
