Overview
Parayaya holds a unique position in the lore of Honkai: Nexus Anima, she is both a former Sovereign and a current Novarch. As the 14th Sovereign, she once governed the paired Aspects of Love and Hate. After the Sundering split those Aspects apart, she became the 29th Novarch, retaining only Hate. She is a member of the Phoenixbreaker Novarchs, the faction dedicated to hunting the World-Ender.
Before the Sundering
In the Old World, Parayaya traveled with Darsea (the 10th Sovereign of Memory and Oblivion) and the being who would later become the World-Ender. Surviving records include the line: "I traveled with Parayaya and Darsea. They were my friends...", spoken from the World-Ender's perspective. This suggests a close, personal relationship between the three that predated the catastrophe.

Legend says Parayaya "fell in love with one she should not have, and for that suffered treachery and punishment." The identity of her forbidden love interest hasn't been confirmed, but the betrayal she experienced drove her toward hate. Literally, given that she retained only the Hate Aspect after the Sundering split her paired domain.
The Phoenixbreakers
After the Sundering, Parayaya joined the Phoenixbreaker Novarchs alongside Blade and Amorphiron. Her motivation is personal: she hunts the World-Ender who "ruthlessly betrayed her." Where Blade searches for a missing Sovereign, Parayaya wants revenge.
Two playable forms
Parayaya appears as two separate Kardia versions in the game:
Novarch form (Hate): A 5-star Kardia. Her Exclusive Principle "Hell is Other People" grants a Hate Pendant to an equipped Anima. After that Anima deals damage 4 times, the pendant unleashes 3 bats attacking random opponents, each dealing 80% of the Anima's MP as Magic Damage. If no Anima is manually selected, the strongest ally receives it automatically
Sovereign form (Love and Hate): A separate 5-star Kardia. Her Exclusive Principle "Walk With Love" uses a Love/Hate Gem at battle start, dealing 20% Max Health as True Damage to all enemy units. A devastating opener that ignores defenses
The existence of two forms suggests her story arc involves reconnecting with the Love Aspect she lost, or at least accessing it temporarily.
Companion Anima
Parayaya's companion Anima is Mesmerith, a Hate-aspected Hothead. Mesmerith is available as a 5-star Anima in the store for 800 Aspect Gems at Level 24.
Appearance
Parayaya has pink hair and a design described as "cute looks and cruel purpose", she looks approachable but carries the weight of an ancient betrayal. Her visual contrast between sweetness and venom reflects her dual nature as a being who once held both Love and Hate.
