Jason Duval is one of the two main protagonists of Grand Theft Auto VI, alongside Lucia Caminos.

Background

Jason grew up around grifters and crooks, which shaped his early life in ways he tried to escape. Seeking to leave his troubled teenage years behind, Jason joined the army. However, this attempt at a fresh start did not work out as planned.

Currently, Jason works for local drug runners in Leonida, serving as an enforcer in the criminal underworld. He operates under the guidance of Brian Heder, an experienced drug runner who has survived longer than most in his profession.

Personality

Jason wants an easy life - something that somehow keeps avoiding him. Despite his involvement in criminal activities, there is a sense that Jason is searching for something better, even as circumstances continue to pull him deeper into the underworld.

His time in the military and subsequent return to crime suggest a complex character caught between different worlds and identities.

Brian Heder

Brian Heder serves as something of a mentor or big-brother figure to Jason. An old man in a profession where men die young, Brian has an extensive history as a drug runner in Leonida.

Brian currently oversees a network of criminals while keeping his own hands relatively clean, using enforcers like Jason to handle the dangerous work.

Relationship with Lucia

Jason forms a romantic partnership with Lucia Caminos after she is released from prison. Together, they attempt various criminal enterprises in Leonida, with their relationship becoming central to the game's story.

Role in Story

When a score goes wrong, Jason and Lucia find themselves caught in a conspiracy that spans the entire state of Leonida. Jason must work alongside Lucia to survive the fallout and uncover the truth behind the forces pursuing them.
