11Emergency vehicles in Grand Theft Auto VI cover police cruisers, sheriff patrol cars, armored tactical trucks, and the supporting fleet used by law enforcement across Leonida. The released trailers give an unusually detailed look at police vehicles thanks to trailer analysts identifying multiple livery styles and agencies, including the Vice City Police Department, the Leonard County Sheriff's Office, the Port Gellhorn Police Department, and the Leonida Highway Patrol.22Overview44Trailer footage shows a multi-agency law enforcement layer in Leonida. Fans tracking the trailers identified nine distinct law enforcement organizations, each with its own jurisdiction and likely its own fleet livery.66The main cruiser models shown come from the Vapid (Ford analog) and Bravado (Dodge analog) brands, while the armored tactical vehicle is a Brute (utility brand) product. As with every other class, Rockstar has not yet published a full emergency-vehicle roster, so this article focuses on units specifically identified in Trailer 1, Trailer 2, or official screenshots.88Confirmed Models1010VehicleAgency / RoleReal-World InspirationWhere It AppearsVapid Police Cruiser (Interceptor)VCPD and Port Gellhorn PD standard patrol carFord TaurusTrailer 1 (Dirt Bike Dirt Bags scene, 1:07); Trailer 2 with VCPD and "Port Gellhorn" livery textVapid Police Cruiser (Stanier LE)Older-generation patrol carFord Crown VictoriaTrailer 2 highway sequence (Crown Vic-style cruiser)Leonard County Sheriff cruiserLeonard County Sheriff's OfficeSheriff department cruiser with pushbar and LED lightbarTrailer 2 (2:28), in green and white livery, rammed by the pursuing AstronBrute Police RiotArmored tactical response vehicleLenco BEARTrailer 2 (armored vehicle used for riot and tactical operations in Leonida)Police helicopterAerial law enforcementPolice Maverick-style utility chopperTrailer 2 (hovering above Jason and Lucia's window escape)Bravado Police Buffalo STXVCPD and Vice-Dale Police patrol carDodge Charger PursuitTrailer 2 (VCPD blue and red lightbar; Vice-Dale green and white livery)Western Sovereign (police)Police motorcycleHarley-Davidson Road KingOfficial screenshot1211VehicleAgency / RoleReal-World InspirationWhere It AppearsVapid Police Cruiser (Interceptor)VCPD and Port Gellhorn PD standard patrol carFord TaurusTrailer 1 (Dirt Bike Dirt Bags scene, 1:07); Trailer 2 with VCPD and "Port Gellhorn" livery textVapid Police Cruiser (Stanier LE)Older-generation patrol carFord Crown VictoriaTrailer 2 highway sequence (Crown Vic-style cruiser)Leonard County Sheriff cruiserLeonard County Sheriff's OfficeSheriff department cruiser with pushbar and LED lightbarTrailer 2 (2:28), in green and white livery, rammed by the pursuing AstronBrute Police RiotArmored tactical response vehicleLenco BEARTrailer 2 (armored vehicle used for riot and tactical operations in Leonida)Police helicopterAerial law enforcementPolice Maverick-style utility chopperTrailer 2 (hovering above Jason and Lucia's window escape)Bravado Police Buffalo STXVCPD and Vice-Dale Police patrol carDodge Charger PursuitTrailer 2 (VCPD blue and red lightbar; Vice-Dale green and white livery)Western Sovereign (police)Police motorcycleHarley-Davidson Road KingOfficial screenshot1313Vapid Police Cruiser (Interceptor)1414The Vapid Police Cruiser Interceptor is the most commonly confirmed patrol car. Its design is based on a real-life Ford Taurus. Trailer 1 showed it operating under the Vapid Police Interceptor name during the Dirt Bike Dirt Bags chase at 1:07, while Trailer 2 showed the same chassis wearing VCPD badges and "Port Gellhorn" lettering on the side. The cruiser appears to be the workhorse unit for multiple city-level agencies, consistent with how American police departments share the Taurus platform in real life.1616Vapid Stanier-Style Cruiser1818A second Vapid cruiser style was spotted in Trailer 2, built around a Crown Victoria silhouette. The Crown Vic is the older-generation American police sedan, and its presence alongside the modern Interceptor suggests that smaller or older agencies still run legacy units. This mirrors real-world Florida fleets where county and city departments continue to operate Crown Victorias well past their retirement from production.2020Leonard County Sheriff Cruiser2222At about 2:28 in Trailer 2, a police car with a green and white Leonard County Sheriff livery is seen briefly on a road before being rammed by an Astron SUV pursuing Jason and Lucia. The vehicle is equipped with flashing headlights, a pushbar, and a blue and red LED lightbar. Its short screen time makes full identification difficult, but it's clearly a distinct sheriff unit rather than just a city-department cruiser.2424Brute Police Riot2626The Brute Police Riot appears in Trailer 2, joining a police pursuit of Jason and Lucia alongside Vice-Dale police cars. It is an armored tactical truck inspired by the Lenco BEAR, built for riot control and tactical police operations.2828Police Helicopter3030The police helicopter that hovers over Jason and Lucia's window escape in Trailer 2 is the aerial component of the emergency vehicle roster. It is covered in more detail on the aircraft page, but fits squarely into law enforcement's wanted-level escalation pattern.3232Law Enforcement Agencies3434One of the most notable reveals from trailer analysis was the sheer number of separate police and law enforcement agencies operating in Leonida. Nine distinct agencies have been identified so far, spread across the state's counties and cities:3636Vice City Police Department (VCPD)Vice-Dale Police DepartmentPort Gellhorn Police Department (PGPD)Kelly County (named only on a trailer sign)Ocean BeachLeonard County Sheriff's OfficeLeonida Department of CorrectionsLeonida Highway PatrolUnited States Coast Guard3838Each agency likely has its own livery, jurisdiction, and potentially its own vehicle fleet. Trailer 2 already shows at least three distinct color schemes (VCPD, Port Gellhorn, and Leonard County), which points to a visually varied emergency vehicle class. See Law Enforcement for the agencies themselves.4040Fire, Medical, and Other Emergency Services4242Fire trucks and ambulances have not been identified by name in either trailer or in official screenshots, and neither is mentioned in the Extended Look coverage reviewed on September 23, 2026. This article restricts its list to vehicles identified in official material.4444The inclusion of the United States Coast Guard among the nine identified law enforcement agencies does suggest a marine emergency vehicle layer, probably tied to the boats and watercraft class and the Leonida Keys setting. Specific Coast Guard vessels have not been named by Rockstar yet.4646Gameplay Role4848Trailer footage and previews point to several roles for emergency vehicles:5050Wanted-level escalation: Trailer 2's window-escape scene pairs ground units with a police helicopter, and previews report that the wanted meter now runs to six stars (see Wanted System).Jurisdictional distinctions: city-level cruisers patrol Vice City streets, sheriff units cover rural Leonard County, and highway patrol handles the interstates. The vehicles may behave differently depending on where a chase crosses into.Ramming targets: the Trailer 2 chase shows a Leonard County Sheriff cruiser being rammed by a pursuing SUV.Mission enforcement: scripted responses may use specific police units, such as the armored Brute Police Riot seen in Trailer 2.5252Setting and Usage Notes5454Trailer 2 showed cruisers participating in chases in urban Vice City, along Interstate 97, on rural roads near Leonard County, and through Port Gellhorn. The geography of Leonida implies that Coast Guard vessels will also be part of the emergency footprint wherever the Leonida Keys or coastal Vice City are in play.5656Protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are shown as targets of police action in Trailer 2 rather than as occupants of emergency vehicles. Dialogue cues have prompted speculation that Jason may have a previous law-enforcement background, but this has not been confirmed by Rockstar and should not be treated as established canon.5858Tips and Notes6060Confirmed emergency units by name or clear livery: Vapid Interceptor (VCPD, PGPD), Vapid Stanier-style cruiser, Leonard County Sheriff cruiser, Brute Police Riot, Bravado Police Buffalo STX, a police Western Sovereign motorcycle, and a Police Maverick-style helicopter.Fire trucks and ambulances have not been identified in official material, so treat claims about them as unconfirmed.Nine law-enforcement agencies identified across the trailers point to a diverse emergency vehicle roster.Additional emergency vehicles, specific unit names, and law enforcement AI behaviors will be confirmed closer to the November 19, 2026 launch.6262Related6464AircraftSUVsBoats and WatercraftVehicles and Combat
