Units
September 29, 2026 at 12:08 AM
Initial version (2026-09-29)
This page lists every unit that the developers of D.O.R.F. Real-Time Strategic Conflict have named in development updates, official videos, store text and their own replies to players, as of September 2026. The game is unreleased, and the developers said in April 2026 that much of the planned roster has not been shown because it depends on systems that are not implemented yet. They also said many older units have yet to be updated or will be altered.
The Faction column only names a faction where the developers have stated one in text. Many units have appeared in videos without a stated faction, and those are marked "Not stated" rather than assigned by guesswork.
The developers have said that current unit values, such as health, damage, cost and build time, are placeholders, some tuned to look good in trailers. This wiki therefore lists no unit statistics. They will be added once the developers publish final values.

The press kit and store page also describe units without naming them, including psychic rogues or psychic warriors, self-cloaking tanks, giant crushing junk spheres of death, enormous zeppelin bombers and clanky artillery mecha. In a 2023 reply about showing more Warband units, the developers mentioned a giant spikeball seen in a trailer and a ghost familiar that another unit can summon. No source has linked the Doomroller to the spikeball or to the junk spheres, so this wiki treats them as separate entries until the developers say otherwise.
Besides the named units, the developers have committed to several kinds of unit without naming specific ones yet.
Unit Type | What the Developers Have Said | When |
|---|---|---|
Machine gunner and basic anti-tank infantry | Every faction gets both | April 2025 |
Elite infantry and infiltrators | Planned | October 2024 |
Stealth units and detectors | Planned, along with disguise units | December 2023 |
Epic-scale units | A few are planned; not necessarily one per faction, and not necessarily limited to one per player | August 2024 |
Hybrid units | Gained by capturing enemy factories or barracks; they combine both factions' technologies and tactics | January 2025 |
Abhuman units | Some are planned | July 2025 |
Naval classes | Each faction gets light patrol craft, anti-air vessels, ship-to-ship vessels, shore bombardment ships, submarines and logistics vessels | December 2025 |
Salvage ships | Likely multi-role, such as transport and minesweeper | December 2025 |
Naval units are planned as powerful, expensive units fielded in small numbers; see Naval Warfare. The Warband is the exception for air units, with at most a token air scout and transport.
Factories produce units, and the Annex System attached to a factory decides which variants and upgrades it can build. The developers considered letting players design custom units and rejected the idea in April 2026. Infantry and vehicle crews draw on Recruits, a resource where one recruit equals one infantry soldier and vehicles need several as crew; vehicles are always built with a full crew. Units can also be retired to recover resources. Resource costs are covered on Resources and Logistics.
Infantry organization was still settling as of September 2026. In April 2026 the developers said infantry were individuals but might switch to squads, and the July 2026 update already described Riflemen and Raider squads while listing infantry squads among the systems still needing work.
Vehicles do not gain ranks themselves; their crews do. See Veterancy for the four ranks, and Combat and Unit Control for stances and orders.
