The attack has long reach and deals heavy damage. Often performed twice in quick succession as a combo.Step or dodge to the side rather than directly backward. The arc does not extend far to the bear's flanks, so a lateral dodge clears the hitbox reliably. Do not try to block, as the hit will drain stamina.Multi-Swipe ComboA sequence of two to three claw swipes chained together. Each strike follows quickly after the last, with minimal recovery time between them. The final hit in the combo has a wider arc than the opening strikes.Dodge the first strike to create distance, then wait out the full combo before retaliating. Opening the encounter by landing a fire attack immediately knocks the bear into its writhing animation, allowing free damage from the very start. Once the effect wears off, move out of range and reapply fire before the next exchange. Cycling through fire attacks and punish windows is the most efficient and safest way to deplete White Bearclaw's health.3737Control the Terrain3939White Bearclaw's location on a clifftop introduces a terrain hazard that can kill you faster than the boss itself. Before engaging in earnest, spend a moment maneuvering the bear toward a flat, open area away from edges. If you get knocked off by a swipe or grab near the cliff, the fall will kill you regardless of your remaining health. Taking a few extra seconds to establish a safe fighting zone eliminates this risk entirely.4141Weapon Choice4343The Frozen Anguish performs well against White Bearclaw due to the range it provides.
