Where to Meet the Witch

During The Missing Seal quest in Chapter 5, you are tasked with locating and meeting a witch. The objective can be confusing because the game sends you through a faction quest rather than giving a direct map marker. This guide walks through each step.

Quest Details

Step 1: Read the Unsealed Letter

Open your inventory and read the key item called Unsealed Letter. This triggers a notification directing you toward a faction quest.

Step 2: Track the Faction Quest

Open the Journal and navigate to Factions Quests. Under the Witches category (the red icon in the Hernand section), find and track the quest called Witch of Wisdom. This places a map marker for the next step.

Step 3: Travel to the Witch's Hut

The marker appears slightly east of the Scholarship Institute. If you have already activated the fast travel point from the Obsession and Madness quest, use it to get close quickly. From the fast travel point, you can skydive toward the marker by pressing R3 (right stick click).

Step 4: Clear the Hut and Free the Witch

Defeat the enemies surrounding the hut. After they are down, look for the open roof window and climb through it to get inside. Untie the witch, then collect the Abyss Artifact sitting on the table nearby.

Step 5: Visit the Witch's House in the Witchwoods

The map updates with a new marker pointing to a location in The Witchwoods, slightly north of where you are. Travel there and enter the house to speak with the witch.

Step 6: Complete the Objective

When the dialogue options appear, select Listen to Request. This finishes both the faction quest and the main quest objective.

Tips

• If the map marker does not appear after reading the letter, make sure you are tracking the Witch of Wisdom quest in your journal.

• The Witchwoods area has additional side content worth exploring once you finish this objective.

• The Abyss Artifact collected from the table is used later in Chapter 5, so do not skip it.
