11Overview22334455Wells' Legion is a Story NPC in Crimson Desert. These soldiers serve the ducal house that governs southern Demeniss. House Wells swears loyalty to the Royal House Thorel, and they openly oppose Caliburn and Bastier, who seized Demeniss by force. They possess both the power and the cause to ignite a civil war at any moment, so Bastier pressured Wells by every means available, even resorting to the most underhanded tactics.6677Wells' Legion soldiers are generally not hostile to the player by default. As allies of House Thorel and opponents of Bastier's tyranny, they represent one of the more sympathetic military factions in Demeniss. However, the political situation in Demeniss is volatile. The King lies unconscious, creating a power vacuum that has fractured alliances, with noble houses vying for control of their regions.8899Stats101011-StatValueHealth70Evade2,147,483,647CC Gauge2011+StatValueHealth70EvadeN/ACC Gauge201212Equipment13131414Wells' Legion wears the following items:15151616ItemLanternOffenberg Plate HelmLucion Cloth ArmorReclonne Leather GlovesEbenezer Leather BootsTorchFallen Kingdom's SwordSmall Wells Brigade BannerPike1717Location18181919Wells' Legion soldiers are found throughout southern Demeniss, particularly around House Wells's territory. Key locations include the Wells Estate and Thornbriar Fortress, one of Duke Wells' forts that has been seized by Wells' Legion Turncoat rebels led by Fortain.20202121The Fortain Rebellion22222323A significant portion of Wells' Legion was fractured when Fortain, a commander within Duke Wells' forces, was persuaded by Bastier to betray his lord. Fortain secretly gathered soldiers who would share his cause, forming the Wells' Legion Turncoat faction. Some turncoats are traitors blinded by greed, but many were also taken in by the claim that there is no hope left for Wells.24242525Through the Grand General's introduction, Fortain met the Black Witch and gained the cursed power to split his soul into doubles. The turncoats seized Thornbriar Fortress, and players must confront Fortain during The Cursed Knight quest to recapture it for House Wells. Defeating Fortain causes his troops to flee the fortress, restoring it to Duke Wells' control.26262727Political Context28282929The Demeniss region is locked in a complex political struggle. The King's coma has created a succession crisis, and Demeniss has become the military and political center of the conflict. House Wells maintains loyalty to House Thorel's claim to legitimate rule, placing them in direct opposition to Caliburn's faction and Bastier's Righteous Inquisitors. Supporting House Wells through faction quests is one of the main ways players can shape the outcome of Demeniss's civil war.30303131Knowledge32323333Interacting with Wells' Legion grants the following knowledge entries:34343535House Wells36363737Notes38383939This NPC has 12 variants in the game data.Wells' Legion soldiers carry the Small Wells Brigade Banner, visually distinguishing them from turncoat forces. After completing The Cursed Knight quest, Wells' Legion soldiers can be found patrolling the recaptured Thornbriar Fortress.40404141See Also42424343Wells' Legion Turncoat - Rebels who betrayed House WellsFortain the Cursed Knight - Leader of the rebellionHouse Wells - The ducal house governing southern DemenissDemeniss - The region where this faction operatesNPCs - All NPCs in Crimson Desert
