11Unexpected Gift2233Unexpected Gift is the first quest group in Chapter 2: Golden Greed. It contains three quests that introduce the Visione memory system, the Nature's Grasp traversal ability, and the Focus technique. After completing the Trace quest group in Chapter 1, Shai's Pendant begins to glow, leading Kliff to Lioncrest Watchtower where bandits have taken up residence. The quest group also reunites Kliff with Rulupee.4455Quest Details6677DetailInformationChapterChapter 2: Golden GreedTypeMain QuestQuestsWhere the Light Leads, Memory Fragment, ReunionLocationLioncrest Watchtower, Meandering HillsPrerequisitesComplete Trace quest group (Chapter 1)RewardsArrows (x10), Medium Bag (x1), Palmar Pill (x1), Standard Inventory Expansion Tool (x1), Visione HelmetPrevious Quest GroupTraceNext Quest GroupHernand in Chaos88Quest List991010QuestLocationKey ActivityWhere the Light LeadsLioncrest WatchtowerClear bandits, ascend watchtower, obtain Visione HelmetMemory FragmentLioncrest WatchtowerVisione tutorial, learn to replay stored memoriesReunionMeandering HillsLearn Nature's Grasp and Focus, Force Palm disc puzzle (2-3-1)1111Where the Light Leads12121313Rulupee's lost pendant begins to shine after Kliff's return from the Abyss. This quest sends you to Lioncrest Watchtower, your first significant combat challenge in the open world. The watchtower sits southwest of the City of Hernand and is occupied by roughly a dozen bandits.14141515Walkthrough16161717Go to Lioncrest Watchtower - Follow the marker on your compass. The area may be fogged on the map, so ride toward the waypoint rather than looking for a visible icon. Shai's Pendant will glow brighter as you approach.Defeat the bandits - About ten enemies occupy the courtyard. Take out the archers first since they deal damage at range and can interrupt your combos. Use light attacks (R1/RB, costs no stamina) for regular enemies and heavy attacks (R2/RT) for shielded ones. If you die, you respawn at a checkpoint right in front of the tower.Ascend the watchtower - After clearing the bandits, you need to reach the top floor. Vegetation blocks the door. You have multiple methods to clear it:18181919Methods to Clear the Vegetation20202121Fire Arrows: Hold L2/LT to nock an arrow. Position the tip near a lit torch to ignite it, then fire at the shrubbery blocking the entrance.Focused Light: Use L1+R1 to activate the stance, then hold L1/LB+R1/RB to concentrate light on the vegetation.Exterior climbing: Execute three consecutive Force Palm jumps (R3 three times) to boost yourself up the exterior wall. Rest on window ledges to recover stamina between climbs.22222323Collect the Visione Helmet - At the top floor, find the Suspicious Helm near some decorative vases. Interacting with it triggers the next quest, Memory Fragment, automatically.24242525Memory Fragment26262727This short quest teaches the Visione memory system. After picking up the helm at the top of Lioncrest Watchtower, Kliff discovers that it can store and replay memories from the past.28282929Walkthrough30303131Examine the Visione Helmet - The game prompts you to interact with the helmet. A tutorial explains how to equip and activate Visione.Replay a stored memory - You can manually equip the helm from the inventory or use the shortcut button on the right side of the screen. The tutorial walks you through viewing a memory fragment stored in the helmet.32323333The Visione system becomes critical in later quests, particularly during the Hernand in Chaos investigations. Memories stored in the helmet reveal clues about events that happened at specific locations.34343535Reunion36363737Kliff reunites with Rulupee outside the watchtower and follows her cat to the Meandering Hills, where ancient ruins hold new abilities. This quest teaches two important traversal skills: Nature's Grasp and Focus.38383939Walkthrough40404141Speak with Rulupee - Exit the watchtower toward the courtyard archway. A cutscene triggers showing Rulupee sitting on a wall with her cat.Follow the cat - Hold the designated button to automatically pursue the cat. You may need to manually assist when crossing the river and navigating rocky ledges.Learn Nature's Grasp - At the ruins, you encounter a child hologram. Use L1/LB on the hologram until the learning process completes. This grants the Nature's Grasp ability, which lets you grab and move objects in the environment.Learn Focus - Use Nature's Grasp on the rock wall (Triangle+Circle / Y+B), then rapidly tap the action button. Enter the area where a meditating child waits and use L1/LB to learn Focus.Solve the Force Palm puzzle - Inside the cave, three round disc platforms are mounted on the wall. Use Force Palm (hold R3) to push them in this order: Middle, Left, Right. All three platforms activate simultaneously when pushed in the correct sequence.Collect the Abyss Artifact - Exit the cave and speak with the child. Pick up the Abyss Artifact from the pillar near the cave entrance to complete the quest.42424343Rewards44444545RewardQuantitySourceArrows10Where the Light LeadsVisione Helmet1Where the Light LeadsStandard Inventory Expansion Tool1ReunionPalmar Pill1ReunionMedium Bag1Memory Fragment4646Tips47474848Stock up on recovery items before heading to Lioncrest Watchtower. If you are underleveled, the bandit fight can be challenging. Purchase meat from Hernand vendors to restore health during combat.Fire Arrows are the easiest method to clear the vegetation blocking the watchtower door. Keep a torch nearby and nock your arrow close to the flame. The Force Palm puzzle solution is Middle, Left, Right (or 2-3-1 reading left to right). Pushing them out of order resets all three discs.Nature's Grasp is used frequently in later chapters for both traversal and puzzle-solving. Practice it on objects around the ruins before moving on.The Visione Helmet is a permanent equipment piece. You do not need to re-acquire it later. It stores memories you encounter throughout the game.
