2020 The Proficiency upgrade turns the Sword Flurry button into a hold instead of a single press. Press R1 + X as normal, and the first dodge-slash plays out; keep the buttons held and Damiane chains into a sequence of additional dodging slashes. Each slash carries its own short invincibility window, so the string also functions as defensive movement against multi-hit enemy attacks.

2222 Because each slash in the extended combo also drains Stamina, a full sequence is Stamina-intensive. Keep an eye on the Stamina gauge and release the input early if Damiane is about to run out, otherwise the combo ends on an exhausted sword strike that leaves her vulnerable.
