1818 Smiting Strike normally ends in a single powerful spear slam. With Expertise applied, holding R1 + R2 after the initial slam triggers two additional strikes in the same sequence. The additional strikes are landed automatically; you only need to keep the input held for the full animation to play out.

2020 Each of the two follow-up strikes deals comparable damage to the initial slam, which approximately triples the total output of a single Smiting Strike cast. Because the additional strikes stay locked into the same animation, Damiane is committed for the duration; use it on staggered enemies or immediately after a stun to avoid getting interrupted during the sequence.
