11Overview22The Sanctum of Benediction is one of four Sanctums scattered across the continent of Pywel in Crimson Desert. Like all Sanctums, it is described as a place imbued with spiritual power, reportedly created in the ancient past to restore the world and its providence. The Antumbra revere Sanctums as sacred ground because of the immense power they hold.44The Sanctum of Benediction is associated with the Fourth Edict, which declares: "Let only those who embrace suffering and seek to draw nearer to Liberation receive blessing."66This is often among the earliest Sanctums that players encounter, and its lantern-based door puzzle is an introduction to the sealed-door mechanics used in other Sanctums.88Location1010The Sanctum of Benediction is located in western Hernand, situated on the side of the road southeast of the City of Hernand. It can be reached on foot or horseback from Hernand proper. The ruins are visible from the road and surrounded by open grassland.1313Access1515Sanctums become accessible after Elowen, the Witch of Wisdom, is encountered during Chapter 5 of the main story. Once unlocked, she asks Kliff to cleanse four sanctums in the Hernand region. Players can track any Sanctum by setting a waypoint through their quest journal.1717Enemies1919Antumbra worshippers occupy the Sanctum grounds. Players must clear the area of all enemies before the puzzle components can be interacted with. One is easily accessible; the other requires opening a sealed door.2525Step 1: Find the First Pillar Top2727The first stone pillar top is located in a room accessible by heading south toward a set of stone staircases, then entering the doorway on the right. Use Axiom Force to grab it and carry it to the broken pillar near the main structure. Place it on the support and use Aerial Force Palm to push it into position. This piece is a cube-shaped Fusion Reactor Core that fits into a square hole at the base of the central structure. Carry it to the other incomplete pillar and place it on the support structure. Use Force Palm to lock it into place. With both pillars restored, the Sanctum of Benediction is cleansed.3939Hidden Treasure4141After clearing all the enemies from the Sanctum grounds, players can access a secret chamber that contains valuable equipment. This hidden room is tied to the witches quest line and is easy to miss on a first visit.4343How to Find It4545Look for an unlit lantern positioned just outside one of the sealed doors in the Sanctum. Light the lantern using a fire arrow or the Blinding Flash ability. The route is short but easy to lose: the inside of the sanctum has multiple branching corridors and only one of them ends at the secret door.7070Use the following sequence of turns once you are inside:7272Open the world map and place your entry marker directly under the E of "Hernand." The marked spot drops you at the doorway that leads down into the helm route, not the main puzzle approach used to cleanse the sanctum.Take the stairs immediately ahead and descend.At the bottom of the stairs, turn left.Take the next two left turns in sequence. The corridor narrows here and the lighting is dim, so move slowly to avoid missing the second left.Continue forward through the next doorway.Take one final left at the next junction. You should now be facing an unlit lamp on a small alcove or pedestal.Light the lamp with a fire arrow or Blinding Flash. The flame triggers a sealed door nearby to slide open, exposing the helm chamber.Open the chamber and pick up the helm. The piece ships with the Momentum abyss core already embedded.Take the helm to any Witch's Workshops and extract the Momentum core if you prefer to socket it on a different helm. The core itself is the reward; the source helm is interchangeable once the core is in inventory.7474Why Momentum Is Worth The Trip7676Momentum grants a flat 35% damage boost to Turning Slash, and the boost is unconditional. It is always active regardless of imbue state, stagger state, or stamina state. For any build that anchors on Turning Slash as the primary heavy combo, slotting Momentum into an armor piece is one of the largest single-source damage gains the abyss-gear system offers.7878The helm route here and the chamber holding the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom described in the puzzle walkthrough above are two separate hidden rooms inside the same sanctum. Both rely on the lantern-lit-door mechanic. Players running a Turning Slash build will usually want both pickups, since Momentum stacks with the +35% Turning Slash bonus on the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom for a layered offense profile when the helm is worn directly.
