1010 After entering Glenbright Manor and clearing the initial combat encounter, head upstairs. The Ruby Hilted Golden Dagger hangs on a wall frame at the top of the staircase. It can be picked up directly with no puzzle required.

1414 Both golden daggers must be placed in the two slots above the fireplace in the main study on the upper floor. Once both the Ruby Hilted Golden Dagger and the Sapphire Hilted Golden Dagger are inserted, the bookcase to the right of the fireplace slides open, revealing a ladder that descends to a hidden basement room. The basement contains red dye, strongboxes, and other valuable loot.
