11 The Root's End Abyss puzzle is a multi-stage challenge involving a descending laser shaft and a battery placement mechanic. It becomes available after completing the Abyss Without Balance main quest and clearing both the Axiom Archive and Ethereal Pathway Abyss puzzles.

1010 In the center of the Root's End platform, you will find a metal grate in the floor. To open it, you must crouch and use Force Palm while crouching. Jumping and using Force Palm downward will not work. Crouching is required.

1212 Step 2: Navigating the Laser Shaft

1414 After opening the grate, you fall into a long vertical corridor filled with lasers. The safest approach is to glide down slowly using your wings (Flight skill). Take your time and weave through the gaps between the laser beams. Rushing through will cause unnecessary damage.

1616 Step 3: The Battery Puzzle

1818 At the bottom of the shaft, you enter a room with a floating blue battery and multiple sockets across two connected areas. The goal is to move the battery into the correct socket.

2020 Use Axiom Force to grab the floating battery and move it through the rooms.Position the battery over or slightly in front of the target socket.Stand on stable ground nearby (the stairs or a ledge work well).Crouch and use Force Palm to slam the battery into the socket.Walk onto the floor button and use another crouching Force Palm to activate the mechanism.

2727 The crouching Force Palm requirement trips up many players. Regular Force Palm while standing will not open the grate or insert the battery.In the laser shaft, you can use Aerial Roll for quick repositioning if you are about to hit a beam.If the battery gets stuck in an awkward position, move to a different angle and try using Axiom Force again.

3131 Root's End sits between the Ethereal Pathway and the Precipice of Truth. To reach it, return to the Ethereal Pathway, activate the bridge past the altar where you collected the first abyss artifact, and cross over to the Root's End island.

3333 Rotating Grate and Laser Trap Dive

3535 Climb the large staircase at the center of the island. Using the Pillar of Wind here speeds the climb dramatically. At the top, land on the central rotating grate, crouch, and use Force Palm through it. That drops you down into a shaft lined with laser traps.

3737 Dive through the laser traps, grab the rectangle-shape battery at the bottom with Axiom Force, and plug it into the matching socket using Force Palm.

3939 Teleport Out and Final Device

4141 Take the teleporter that appears to exit the laser chamber. Collect one more battery on the way out, then activate the final device to restore Root's End and claim its abyss artifact.

4545 There is an extra power core sitting on top of the first puzzle area. It is entirely optional, but worth the short detour if you are stocking up for later crafting recipes or want a spare for the Precipice of Truth sequence.
