11Overview2233Restrain is a Grappling sub-skill in the Stamina Skill Tree, available to Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka. It allows you to take an enemy hostage after performing certain attacks. The restrained enemy can be used as a human shield against incoming attacks from other foes, making it a powerful crowd-control tool in group fights.445566Skill Details7788PropertyDetailSkill TreeStamina (Grappling branch)Activation CostNo initial costSustain Cost10 Stamina per second while holding the hostageCharactersKliff, Damiane, OongkaGrappling LevelLevel 1 (unlocked alongside Throw)How to UnlockAuto-unlockInputTriangle + Circle during Piercing Light99How to Unlock10101111Restrain is available at Grappling Level 1 alongside Throw. When fighting groups, restrain one enemy and use them to block hits while you wait for an opening.24242525You can move around while holding a hostage as long as you have Stamina to sustain the 10 Stamina per second drain. Keep an eye on your Stamina bar and release the hostage before it empties completely, or you will be vulnerable during the recovery animation.26262727Combine Restrain with follow-up grappling moves for extended combos. After restraining an enemy, transition into Throw (40 Stamina) to hurl them at other enemies, or into Lariat (60 Stamina) for a devastating ground slam that damages nearby foes.28282929Restrain works best against human-sized enemies. Larger enemies and bosses cannot be restrained; use Back Hang (Grappling Lv.4) instead to latch onto large enemies and swing to their back.
