Completing this quest unlocks access to the research facility inside Pororin Forest village, where you can invest silver into research projects that yield blueprints, alchemy formulas, dispatch missions, and gathering bonuses.4455How to Unlock6677You must first complete the Trembling Woods quest (also called The Unreachable Village), which grants permanent access to the Pororin Forest Village and Florindale. This quest triggers after entering Pororin Forest three times: each time the Shai children knock Kliff unconscious with sleep darts. The addition is small in footprint but significant in practice, because it gives players a second legal turn-in point for regional bounty targets and meaningfully shortens the travel loop for anyone running contracts in the southern Pororin region.56565757Regional Bounty Turn-Ins58585959Before patch 1.04, completing a bounty contract in the area around the institute meant hauling the captured target all the way back to the main jail in Hernand city to collect the reward. Many of those trips covered double or triple the distance of the hunt itself, and the detour made back-to-back contracts in the region feel slower than they should.60606161The new constabulary accepts regional bounty turn-ins directly. Targets such as Salvatore, who is hunted in the woodlands south of Hernand, can now be handed over at this outpost instead of being escorted the full distance back to the Hernand main jail. After patch 1.04 the balloon is a permanent summonable mount rather than a single-use item, so the workshop is effectively a one-time stop for most players: finish the crafting mission there once and the balloon can be summoned from anywhere afterward, subject to a long cooldown between calls.77777878The institute and the workshop are linked in terms of progression. The fully upgraded version of the balloon, which can maintain altitude indefinitely without burner upkeep and fly directly into the Abyss without triggering a teleport, is unlocked by completing every research mission the Pororin Research Institute offers.
