55 Secret Places are hidden Abyss Cressets tucked into easy-to-miss locations: mountaintop cairns, caves behind waterfalls, collapsed floors, and narrow rock gaps. Each one unlocks a permanent fast travel point and awards an Abyss Artifact (one skill point). Clearing all 60 counts as one of the nine exploration subcategories for the Expert Explorer gold trophy.

1212 Every Secret Place is a hidden Abyss Cresset. You find them by scanning for the "Mysterious Energy" question mark icon that appears on the map as you enter the vicinity. Use Blinding Flash from high ground to catch glints on the horizon, keep the Lantern active while traveling, and trigger Guiding Light (L1+R1 / LB+RB) to pulse toward nearby undiscovered Cressets.

1414 Many Secret Places sit on cliffs or pillars. Gliding drops you onto isolated peaks, aerial Force Palm gives an upward boost to reach sites like An Unreachable End, and Turning Slash plus Nature's Snare clear ice and water at frozen Pailune ruins. 2222 Clear each region systematically. Ring the eight Hidden Bells early; they unfog large swaths of the map and reveal Mysterious Energy icons you would otherwise miss. When a question mark sits at the base of a cliff, look for cave mouths, collapsed floors, or climbable pillars. Rotate the camera upward when a minimap Cresset is not visible: the target may be above you. Upgrade your mount at stables whenever possible to cut cross-continent travel time.
