11Overview22334455The Palmar Pill is a consumable item in Crimson Desert that allows Kliff to revive with 30% of his maximum health when he falls in combat. The pill activates automatically on death, giving the player the option to respawn on the spot instead of reloading from a checkpoint. Palmar Pills work against all causes of death, including boss fights, regular enemy encounters, and even falling damage.6677Because Crimson Desert does not feature an automatic resurrection mechanic, Palmar Pills are among the most important consumables in the game. Finding the crafting recipe early and keeping a stock of pills on hand greatly improves survival, especially during difficult encounters in the Abyss and against tougher bosses.8899How to Get Palmar Pills10101111There are two main ways to obtain Palmar Pills: finding them in the open world and crafting them at a cauldron.12121313World Pickups14141515Palmar Pills can be found at grave sites and graveyards scattered throughout Pywel. They are often placed on top of gravestones or similar monuments. These pickups are limited, so relying on world drops alone is not sustainable for longer playthroughs.16161717Crafting Manual Location18181919The Palmar Pill Crafting Manual is located in a cave a short distance north of Hernand, just west of the bridge. The cave sits in a cliffside and contains a witch's alchemy chamber. The crafting manual is on the right side of the room. A cauldron is also present on the left side of the cave, so you can begin crafting immediately after picking up the recipe.20202121This location is accessible very early in the game, and finding it quickly is one of the best things a new player can do. Three free Palmar Pills are also sitting inside the cave alongside the manual.22222323An alternative copy of the crafting manual can be found during one of the Pororin Forest research quests.24242525Crafting Recipe26262727Palmar Pills are crafted at any Cauldron found throughout the world. The recipe requires the following base ingredients:28282929IngredientQuantityWater2Herb or mushroom (see below)153030The second ingredient slot accepts any one of the following materials. These are the easiest ingredients to stockpile.Red Croton fields near the Witch's house in the Witchwoods provide a reliable farming spot.Water can be gathered from rivers, wells, and lake edges throughout the world.Keeping at least a few Palmar Pills on hand before entering any Abyss dungeon or tackling a major boss fight is highly recommended.40404141Notes42424343The in-game item name uses "Palmar" (not "Palmer"), though some community guides use the alternate spelling. The Palmar Pill has a sell value but is far more useful as a safety net in combat than as a source of income. The earliest accessible cauldron is inside the same cave where the crafting manual is found, northwest of Hernand.44444545Alternative Improvise Unlock Method46464747The upgraded Refined Palmar Pill recipe can be learned through Improvise at any cauldron without waiting for its story unlock. The input order is Palmar Leaf, Palmar Beetle, Ginseng or Longcorn, and water, in that exact sequence. Each successful craft fills the recipe knowledge bar by 25 to 30 percent, so three Improvise crafts at a cauldron in Harnandes or your home base permanently unlock the recipe under the Special Items tab. Full walkthrough at Palmar Pill Recipe and Farming.48484949Regular vs Wild Ginseng Warning50505151Both standard and refined palmar pill recipes that involve ginseng require regular Ginseng, not Wild Ginseng. The two items use an identical inventory icon, which causes constant confusion. If a craft fails or the Improvise unlock makes no progress, double-check whether the slot actually contains Ginseng rather than Wild Ginseng. Regular ginseng can be stolen from the red flowers at the Scholar's Stone Institute garden as early as chapter 4 with a mask, or bought five at a time from the rebuilt merchant in Pailune after Chapter 9.525253+Roaming Vendor (Patch 1.04)54+55+Lacey is a roaming vendor introduced in Patch 1.04. She sells Palmar Pill as part of her stock and can be found on a circular route around the main road of Pororin Village in the Pororin Forest region. Unlike stationary merchants, Lacey keeps moving along the encircling road, so if she is not at her last known position, follow the road in either direction and she will eventually appear.56+57+The easiest way to identify Lacey among the other traveling merchants in the area is the large backpack she carries. Watch for the silhouette of a pack on her shoulders rather than trying to match a fixed spawn point.58+59+What Lacey Sells60+61+Her shop is small but focused. In addition to the Palmar Pill, she carries a new pet-oriented item added in the same patch:62+63+Palmar Pill: the same consumable documented above, useful as a backup stockpile option for players who are already in Pororin Village and do not want to return to a cauldron or craft a fresh batch.Sigil of Bonding: a pet equipment item that can be slotted onto a cat companion. When equipped, the cat rides permanently on the player's shoulder and stays there through running, sprinting, and combat, only hopping down briefly to collect loot. See the Pet Equipment article for the broader roster of pet gear and the Pet Shop article for vendor details.64+65+Because Lacey roams around Pororin Village, buying from her is a convenient pit stop when questing through the Pororin Forest area or visiting the Pororin Research Institute. Her stock refreshes on a vendor-cycle timer shared with other roaming merchants, so a return trip a short while later restores any items she had previously sold out of.66+5367Related Items and Guides54685569Refined Palmar Pill: golden upgrade variant for tougher boss fights.Palmar Pill Recipe and Farming: full ingredient farming routes and the Improvise walkthrough.Alchemy Formula: Palmar Pill: the formula item that grants the recipe.Reindeer Cloak: deer disguise that speeds up Longcorn farming.Kuku Gardening Pack: late-game auto-gather tool for Palmar Leaf patches.
