Walk over a glowy leaf and the interact prompt will explicitly read "Palmar Beetle." The visual difference is subtle in dense leaf patches, so the easier spots are the ones where leaves are spaced apart and the beetles can be picked out against the background.

The Improvise input order at any cauldron is Palmar Leaf, Palmar Beetle, Ginseng (not Wild Ginseng) or Longcorn, then water.
