11Overview22334455Odeck's Protector Plate Helm is a Boss Plate Armor headgear piece in Crimson Desert. A plate helm once worn by the Forgotten General who guarded Odeck. Long red tassels flow from the rounded crown, while an angular visor conceals the wearer's gaze. Layered plates extend down the sides to protect the neckline, and the scratches on its silver surface bear witness to battles fought as an ancient guardian.6677Stats8899StatValueGradeBossArmor TypePlate ArmorSlotHeadgearDefense6Price528 Silver1010Refinement11111212At Refinement Level 0, this item provides the following stats:13131414StatValueDefense21515Higher refinement levels increase these stats further. Each piece is retrieved directly from a cache, so the armor is effectively a cosmetic trophy once every location has been cleared. Most of the pieces can be collected at any point in the campaign, but the helm is locked behind a chapter 9 quest and cannot be grabbed early.32323333Set pieces and their unlock methods:34343535Helm: gated behind the chapter 9 quest The Veiled Witch, which lifts a curse at the helm's location. Focus Force Palm opens the rock cache.Chest Armor: retrieved from a hidden hole that must be broken open with Focus Force Palm. Two nearby holes look similar, so target the correct one.Gloves: unlocked by smashing one of the colorful rocks at its map marker with Focus Force Palm.Cloak: looted from a cache in Pelu. The area is patrolled by black bears that stay hostile even after Pelu has been reclaimed, and aggro will block the pickup prompt.Boots: hidden in a chest at a sanctum location. The sanctum does not need to be cleared; the chest can be looted directly.36363737All five pieces share the same silver finish by default, so the ingredients for a matching look are stored together once the full set is equipped. The pieces accept dyes, which allows for custom color schemes without changing the model.38383939Chapter 9 Gating40404141Unlike the other four pieces of the set, the helm cannot be retrieved early. Approaching the cache before completing the chapter 9 quest The Veiled Witch triggers an attack by crows around the pickup site, which the game describes as being cursed. Finishing the quest lifts the curse, removes the crows, and makes the cache safe to open.42424343Opening the Helm Cache44444545Once the curse is gone, travel to the helm's map marker and use Focus Force Palm on the target rock. A couple of hits are enough to shatter the cache and expose the helm inside. No combat is required beyond clearing any nearby strays.
