11 Mineral Excavation Efficiency Research is a faction quest in Crimson Desert, part of the Gorthak Ironworks Research Institute quest series. It is completed by talking to a research assistant and handing over the required components, after which the unlocks listed below become permanently available for the rest of the playthrough. The research itself takes a full day of in-game research time per stage, with a silver cost paid up front. This quest takes place in the Delesyia region.

99 Mineral Excavation Efficiency Research is the final node on the brimstone / mining branch of the Gorthak Ironworks research tree. The research assistant is stationed just above the Zagen Tank Works site in Gorthak, in the same building used for Weapon Heat-Treatment Research and the machine parts chain.

You will have full access to the Gorthak assistant at the end of Chapter 10: Counterattack and through Chapter 11: Truth and Reality. Like the other Gorthak nodes it costs silver plus a full day of research time.

The mining bonus applies to any character who swings a pickaxe or uses the Mining Knuckledrill, and the cannonball cap bonus stacks on top of the earlier Brimstone increase, giving cannon-focused builds their final ammo buffer.

Refined crafting recipes in the late game consume large quantities of ore, and this research is the cheapest long-term way to keep up with demand. Prioritize it immediately after unlocking the brimstone node, and well before any of the weapon blueprint research that does not advance you toward the A.T.A.G. Laser.
