It is captured with the Sotdae of Bond, the bird-feeder item awarded by the Pororin faction quest line, and follows the same place-feed-wait loop used for every other tameable bird. The Long-Tailed Tit is unusually small even by tit standards, so it is easy to miss in the air; it is often easier to spot on the minimap radar than against the sky. Once tamed, it perches on the player's shoulder during exploration like the other small companion birds.29+30+Where to Find the Long-Tailed Tit31+32+The most reliable spawn area sits near the Spire of Ringing Truth in the Pailune mountain region. The shortest approach is to head past Wayward Woods and downhill from the Skoghorn Tribe area. There are two fast-travel points around the spire; use the higher of the two and place the Sotdae of Bond on the cliffside facing the open sky, where the small bird flock cycles. Early-morning hours through to mid-afternoon produce the most landings because the flock patrols the ridge most actively during those windows.33+34+The flock above the spire mixes several small species, so the same placement that draws the Long-Tailed Tit also pulls Meadow Bunting, crows, eagles, and pigeons. Stocking the feeder with a mix of bait increases the odds that the Long-Tailed Tit specifically lands rather than only the larger birds; barley and other grains in particular are the right small-bird food to keep loaded.35+36+Food and Trust37+38+The Long-Tailed Tit is a small bird, so it eats grains, fruits, and insects rather than meat. Barley is one of the strongest tested options, raising trust by roughly 25 points per accepted feed. Other small-bird foods such as berries and bugs work as well; players can pick wild barley near the same fast-travel point used to reach the spire, so a short gathering loop refills the feeder without having to detour to a town grocer.39+40+Trust is built up across multiple feeding sessions. Place the feeder, step back so the bird is not spooked, and wait the usual two to six minutes for the flock to drop in. Keep refilling the bait until trust hits the cap, then approach the bird and take it as a pet. Full bird-taming mechanics, including the daily feeding cap and how the Sotdae of Bond is first unlocked, are covered on the Pet Taming Guide.
