13+Craft at a Blacksmith with Timber x35 and Fine Timber x5 after learning Shields of the World, Vol. III. Those quantities belong to the base crafting recipe, not the normal +2 upgrade. The recorded normal refinement route uses Timber x15 for +2; later upgrades add Fine Timber and Bloodstone, with one Abyss Artifact at each level from +5 through +10. The pickup guide shows Defense 8 at +2, consistent with the existing progression table.
