It is a basic Kuku Pot modified to be carried on the back, and on its own it functions as a vacuum that pulls in nearby Clockwork Insects. More importantly, it is a required input material in the recipes for a long list of derivative Kuku packs, helmets, and spears, so most players end up crafting around ten Kuku Packs over the course of the campaign.1919The recipe is unlocked by completing the Sanctum of Penitence, a Sanctum tied to Elowen, the Witch of Wisdom. Once the recipe is unlocked, you craft the Kuku Pack by speaking to Grimnir at the Kilnden Workshop and selecting it from his Kuku Pot crafting menu.2121How to Unlock the Recipe2323The Kuku Pack recipe is part of the Witch of Wisdom faction questline, which begins during the Chapter 5 main quest "The Missing Seal." After meeting Elowen near the Witchwoods southwest of Castle Hernand, she will ask you to cleanse four Sanctums scattered across Hernand Territory.2525The Sanctum of Penitence sits east of the Sanctum of Temperance, which itself is just southeast of Howling Hills. You can reach it by riding straight south from the Graymane Howling Hill camp or by fast-travelling to one of the Abyss Nexuses that ring the farm.4040Stealing Method (Recommended)4242Equip a Mask before you enter the tannery grounds. Without the mask, stealing will attach your identity to the crime and saddle you with a bounty or fine.Walk up to the table inside the tannery. Two Peddler's Packs are laid out on it.Grab both, then sprint away from the workers until you break line of sight. Any guards or NPCs that saw the theft will eventually drop their alert state.Wait a few in-game days and return. The two packs respawn on the same table, so the tannery functions as a renewable supply.4444Because packs respawn, this is essentially an infinite source. This is not renewable the way the stealing route is, and it costs money, but it is a no-risk option if your disguise gets blown or you simply do not want to deal with the bounty system. Any other basic Pack (Hunter's Pack, worker packs, etc.) can also substitute in the recipe if you happen to pick one up elsewhere.5050How to Use5252Once crafted, equip the Kuku Pack to your special equipment slot and activate it in the field to harvest nearby Clockwork Insects. The pack generates a wide suction field around you that pulls in every clockwork bug in range, without forcing you to melee them one at a time.5454Activation Steps5656Open the inventory and assign the Kuku Pack to the active special item slot (right D-pad).Approach a cluster of clockwork bugs, usually found near derelict mechs and factory ruins.Press the active item button to trigger the vacuum. Post-liberation spawns drop noticeably and dispatch missions become the main top-up route.
