New article: guide to obtaining white and near-white dyes in Crimson Desert
There is no item literally named "White Dye" in Crimson Desert. The closest match is the Bright Yellow Dye, which despite its name produces a near-white color on equipment. There are also light-colored alternatives available at certain Dyehouses.
The Bright Yellow Dye is found in the Reachwood Ruins, south of Hernand in the Pororin district. It sits on a wooden box atop an abandoned tower's rooftop.
You must complete the The Unreachable Village faction quest to gain access to the Pororin area. This quest becomes available during Chapter 2 of the main campaign.
Pick up the Bright Yellow Dye from the Reachwood Ruins.
Open your inventory.
Select the dye and press the Use button (X on PlayStation, A on Xbox).
The dye is consumed and unlocks all shades associated with that color at any Dyehouse.
After gaining access to Pororin Village, visit the Pororin Dyehouse and talk to Devin. Under the Pororin Dye section, select the top-left color option. This produces a pale, almost white shade that many players prefer.
A light blue dye from the Dyer's House in the southern outskirts of the Demeniss capital can also produce a near-white appearance on certain armor types, depending on the material.
Consuming a dye unlocks its color palette at all Dyehouses in the game. Visit any Dyer NPC to apply the color to your equipped gear. Each dye unlocks multiple shade variations (lighter and darker tones) that you can choose from.
The Bright Yellow Dye is a one-time pickup, but once consumed, the color is permanently unlocked.
Different armor materials display dyes differently. Test the color on your actual gear before committing.
