The Mystical Key quest is the 10th main mission in Crimson Desert. After receiving a wooden key from an old beggar that transforms into an intricate iron key, you need to figure out where to use it. The answer is a hidden room on the second floor of Hernand Castle.

Step 1: Examine the Key

Open your inventory and find the Mystical Key. Interact with it to bring it out, then hold CTRL (LB on controller) to inspect it. This triggers a dialogue that hints at Hernand Castle.

Step 2: Enter Hernand Castle

To gain entry, equip the Hernandian Attire you received during a previous quest. Without the correct outfit, the guards will not let you pass. Approach either gate with the attire equipped.

Step 3: Navigate to the Second Floor

1. From the main castle entrance, immediately turn right.

2. Go up the stairs to the second floor.

3. At the top, turn right into the next hallway.

4. The locked door is the first one on the left.

5. Use the Mystical Key to unlock it.

What You Find Inside

The room contains a shining gate portal to the Abyss, along with a chest. The main reward from this quest is the Faded Abyss Artifact in the chest. This item lets you respec your character's skills, making it extremely valuable.

Tips

• If you cannot find the door, look for the key icon on your minimap once you are on the second floor.

• Make sure you have the Hernandian Attire equipped before approaching the castle. Check your wardrobe if you cannot find it.

• The Faded Abyss Artifact for respeccing is one of the best early-game rewards, so do not skip this quest.
